NMB Rally move ahead
The Headlines in The Sun News today! The Harley Group is waiting on the permit decision. This is after the Myrtle Beach Council and mayor changed the local ordinances in their city that upset many bikers last year. Mark Lazarus a former Horry County councilman and county councilman Harold Worley partnered to start the motorcycle convention for the Harley-Davidson owners group. This could bring about 10,000 tourists to the Main Street are of North Myrtle Beach according to the Sun News for the 5 day event.
According to Worley “All we’re asking for this year is an opportunity to have the rally this May and if the City decides it’s something they don’t like, then they don’t have to do it again.” Although Myrtle Beach passed stricter rules on bikers last year which made bikers travel outside their city limits, North Myrtle Beach welcomed them. Lazarus said the event in NMB would not include burnout pits, jell-o wrestling or bikini bike washes.
